Family Kickstart Georgia (FKSG) continues to work with homeless shelters to provide literacy, language, and GED to the women at the shelter, as well as to various communities in the greater Atlanta area.
Family Kickstart Georgia's Literacy programs are focused on helping marginalized community members with literacy and language challenges take part in society by providing ESL and literacy support to young adults, at-risk youth, and families.
We offer free evening literacy, language and GED classes. FKSG is focused on helping learners improve skills in the following areas:
- ESL Support: We provide language training services to learners at various literacy and language level. Language learners are provided with training tailored to meet their needs towards full participation and inclusion within the community
Literacy Support: Our ESL trained professionals work with students and various learners using an integrated skills and a task-based approach in helping literacy learners gain relevant skills
GED and High School Diploma: Family Kickstart Georgia (FKSG) Career and College preparation programs help out-of-school youth and young adults earn a GED, or complete their high school diploma towards a post secondary diploma or degree
