Family Kickstart Georgia (FKSG) continues to work with homeless shelters to provide Adult literacy classes and GED to the women at the shelter.
Family Kickstart Georgia's Adult Literacy programs are focused on helping marginalized community members with language, literacy difficulties take part in society by providing adult ESL adult literacy training, and support.
We offer free evening adult literacy classes.
FKSG is focused on helping learners improve skills in the following areas:
ESL Support: We provide language training services to adult learners in various literacy level.
FKSG work to provide English language skills so that everyone is able to access all areas of life and participate fully, irrespective of age, previous nationality, wealth or any other factor.
FKSG English as a Second Language Teachers' work with students of all ages whose primary language is not English. They teach grammar, speaking, and writing skills, as well as more nuanced concepts like idioms and slang.
Family Kickstart Georgia (FKSG) Career and College Preparation programs help high school students and out-of-school youth earn their GED, or high school diplomas, prepare for college life, gain meaningful work experience, build financial literacy skills and explore new career opportunities every year.
Family literacy Support: Our coordinated services provide women and families basic health and counseling, referrals, to minimize abuse and build safety nets within families and wherever vulnerable women and children reside.
Supporting Organizations: We also work with organizations to provide professional services to help organizations remove literacy-related barriers to clients and customers accessing their services who may experience or have difficulties reading or writing
